In Saint Petersburg, during a conference, one of the most notorious Russian propagandists, Maxim Fomin, known under the pseudonym Vladlen Tatarsky, was killed by a mine explosion. Fomin, a former Ukrainian citizen, was sentenced in 2011 to 12 years in prison for armed bank robbery in Donbas. He was released from prison in 2014 by Russian forces under the condition that he would fight against Ukraine. Fomin didn’t stay long in the trenches but became a blogger and one of the symbols of the Russian occupation.
