In November 2023, Zhuravlev announced a bill on the “eastern ukrainian hectare,” proposing to provide land to those who participated in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
He is a regular participant in russian propaganda shows, where, among other things, he openly called for the killing of ukrainians.
Zhuravlev is known for his outspoken homophobic and chauvinistic views, and throughout his parliamentary career, he has proposed bills restricting the rights of the LGBT community, foreign migrants, and their children.
