Putin Decides to Transfer Scarce Air Defense Systems to Iran

The S-400 "Triumph" systems are on their way to Iran

A completely wild situation has arisen with the transfer of air defense systems and radars to Iran. Former Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu traveled to Iran, where he announced Putin’s decision to transfer these systems to the country.

Very soon, the systems will be handed over to Iran. This is happening against the backdrop of a significant shortage of these systems for the protection of Russia’s own territory. There are not enough air defense systems to protect strategic objects, oil refineries, oil depots, and border cities. There is also a shortage of air defense systems to protect airfields, as evidenced by the recent strike on Morozovsk.

Before this, Ukraine regularly struck the ferry crossing to Crimea and attacked the energy infrastructure, leading to widespread power outages in many settlements.

But Putin, who made the decision to transfer these weapons, seems completely unconcerned. His goal is to appease one of his allies—Iran—at the expense of his own country’s security.

Iran is currently actively preparing for war with Israel, and Putin has decided to help. Now, the question arises: how will Israel react to this decision by the Kremlin?

Once Israeli intelligence confirms that the air defense systems have been delivered to Iran, the consequences will be very unpleasant. Most likely, some of the Russian systems will be delivered along with Russian military personnel. These Russian military personnel will likely be killed by Israeli anti-radar and precision missiles. And that’s not all. Israel, which has essentially maintained a neutral stance in the Russian-Ukrainian war, will probably change its position and start supplying some of its arsenals to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Everything is leading to this.

While Russian S-400 or even more advanced S-500 systems are fighting Israeli missiles in Iran, protective structures made of wire mesh will be built at Russian oil refineries and oil depots. However, as it turns out, they offer little protection against drone strikes. Belgorod, Kursk, and long-suffering Shebekino will remain defenseless. It’s clear that Iran is more important to us than our own territory and objects. This is the essence of the great geostrategist Putin.
