Conscripts Are Sent to Fight

Conscripts in captivity

The entire border defense group with Ukraine consisted of 10,000 servicemen. Most of this group were conscripted soldiers, poorly trained and very young. At present, about 2,000 Russian servicemen have been taken prisoner. Almost a quarter of the group is already in captivity, and it is still unknown how many have been killed and wounded.

The General Staff, led by Valery Gerasimov, missed the start of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ offensive. Although Gerasimov likely knew about the preparation for the offensive from many signs, he ignored it, believing that Ukraine would not dare to attack the canonical territory of the Russian Federation.

Despite the bold statements of the Russian Ministry of Defense, the military catastrophe in the Kursk region continues to develop. But what is the army leadership doing? They have finally decided that conscripts will fight against battle-hardened Ukrainian servicemen from airborne assault brigades.

The process of transferring troops from the Kaliningrad region has already begun, but most of them will be the same conscripts with a few contract soldiers mixed in. A marine brigade was transferred from the Kharkiv direction, and before that, they had come from the Zaporizhzhia front. The brigade immediately came under fire from HIMARS. At least one battalion from the brigade has practically lost its combat capability, including killed and wounded.

In many units on the territory of the Russian Federation, “Kursk battalions” are being created from conscripts. To cover this up, young men are being forced to sign contracts with the Ministry of Defense. If they refuse, they are threatened with seven years in prison, transfer to a disciplinary battalion, and the horrifying prospect of being sent to assault units, which are traditionally driven to slaughter.

Proponents of the concept of war with conscripts, such as Solovyov and General Gurulyov, have become highly active. They appear on television, telling how well conscripts fought in Afghanistan and Chechnya and how they won there.

Why hasn’t martial law been declared in the Kursk region, or why hasn’t it been declared a special military operation zone? It’s very simple. Putin promised that conscripts would not participate in the special military operation. But no one said anything about the counter-terrorism operation. So, dear conscripts, welcome to Hell in the Kursk region.
