For the third day, battles have been raging in the Kursk region. What was initially presented by propaganda as an attempt by a sabotage-reconnaissance group (SRG) to break through the border turned out to be a full-fledged combined arms operation by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
These Ukrainian offensive actions were also called a PR stunt. However, it seems that there is already a realization that this is akin to creating another sanitary zone within the Kursk region.
As it turned out, the border was being defended by poorly trained conscripts armed only with light firearms, interspersed with similarly poorly trained mobilized troops, and a small contingent of contract soldiers.
Putin once claimed that conscript soldiers would not participate in the Special Military Operation (SMO). As always, he lied. Practically everyone has already seen footage of captured conscript soldiers.
Now Putin is gathering his accomplices in the aggressive war. It is interesting if he will say a word about the conscript soldiers who were killed or captured in the Kursk region. Or will he again spew nonsense about a war with NATO?
Moreover, conscript soldiers, before the Ukrainian Armed Forces began their active offensive actions, were under fire from the Ukrainians for several days. They even asked to be withdrawn from their positions, referring to statements made by Kremlin leadership. Naturally, no one withdrew them. There is already an understanding of how many conscripts and others were captured, but there is absolutely no information on how many conscript soldiers were wounded or killed.
These soldiers have no status as participants in the SMO, and therefore the families of the dead and wounded will receive no compensation.
As for the soldiers of the Akhmat regiment, who promised to defend the border, no one saw them on the front line. Mostly, they were in the rear. And even from there, they began to flee as soon as they realized the front was approaching.
Armored vehicles with Akhmat tactical markings have already been spotted in Kursk, and this was equipment withdrawn far from the front.
Of course, why should the brave Tik-Tok warriors risk their lives if there are conscript soldiers? They absolutely do not need to. They only need to declare, as Akhmat commander Apti Alaudinov did, that they are fighting a war with the devil and claim that victory will be soon because it is written in the Quran. Meanwhile, the Akhmat fighters should keep performing lively Lezginka dances and firing into the air, somewhere in a rearward settlement.
