There are numerous stories about heroes of the Special Military Operation (SMO) committing brutal crimes, behaving erratically, and posing a danger to ordinary people. Russian citizens will have to come to terms with this, as it is the price of war, which can affect anyone.
In Dagestan, an “SMO hero” named Akhmet was running around the street with a knife, acting completely irrationally. It is possible that Akhmet was under the influence of drugs, although it could also have been post-traumatic stress disorder.
On the afternoon of July 9, residents of Makhachkala complained to the police about a man who climbed onto the roof of a building on Rasul Gamzatov Avenue with a knife, asking for his mother’s rank. This man turned out to be 48-year-old Akhmet, who had returned from the war. Initially, an ambulance was called for him, but it was only the later arriving security forces who managed to calm him down and detain him. It was then discovered that the “SMO hero” had unexpectedly died at the police station. The cause of his death is unknown.
Akhmet’s mother claims that the police allegedly did not use force against her son. Now, the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Dagestan is looking into the circumstances.
Although the mother claims that the police did not use force, it is already known that during the attempt to push Akhmet into the patrol car, he, who had allegedly calmed down, attacked one of the police officers. A real fight ensued, involving the police officers who had arrived to subdue the unruly man. Eventually, Akhmet was restrained and taken to the police station.
It was at the station that Akhmet unexpectedly, as the police claim, died. Besides the police officers themselves, there are no witnesses to what happened in the patrol car and at the station.
Instead of taking Akhmet to a medical facility, he was taken to the police station. It is obvious that he had a mental disorder due to the war or due to the effects of drugs. In any case, this is a disease and it should be treated by psychiatrists, not the police.
The number of such people in Russia will constantly increase and they will pose a threat to society. The authorities, who started this war, will be unable to solve this mass problem. Russia is facing a surge in crime, brutal and bloody murders, and violence.
