For all Russians who pay taxes, pensioners, and public sector workers, happy times are coming. Now you will be paying not only for their upkeep but also for the benefits of propagandists.
The status of “Veteran of Journalism of Special Risk” for war correspondents may appear in Russia, as reported by RIA Novosti, citing the head of the Union of Journalists of Russia, Vladimir Solovyov.
Thanks to this status, war correspondents will have the opportunity to receive a certain set of benefits, explained the head of the UJR. And in this explanation lies the main meaning of this status. The set of benefits is the key point, not some certificate or formal status.
By the way, the Solovyov mentioned by RIA Novosti is not the same Solovyov who talks on television about the war with NATO and threatens the whole world with nuclear apocalypse.
The head of the Union of Journalists of Russia is another person with the same surname and first name. But this doesn’t change the essence. Soon, Russia will be full of “veterans,” and most of them will receive their status because of the war in Ukraine. And all this will fall on the shoulders of the federal budget, which is already struggling with the strain caused by the special military operation.
Top propagandists working on state channels, who already have huge salaries, will also receive the status of “veterans.” As soon as they appear somewhere in the special military operation zone, they will be eligible for benefits, having the status of “Veteran of Journalism of Special Risk.”
But that’s not all. Now, the federal budget will also cover the benefits received by officials sent to work in the new territories. They are even planned to be given the status of “combat veterans.” And it’s not just the Russian dispatched officials. Benefits and veteran status will be given to police officers, prosecutors, and Investigative Committee staff who are also sent to the new territories.
All this will lead to the fact that in the near future there will be no salary increases for public sector workers and no pension increases. Everything will go towards paying for benefits, including those for propagandists. Probably, this was the deep meaning of the plan to start the special military operation, into which budget money, and the lives and health of hundreds of thousands of people are being poured like into a furnace.
