Failed offensive in the Kharkiv region

The Kremlin, through Dmitry Peskov, denies the complete failure of the operation in the Kharkiv region. Instead of explaining the situation or shifting the blame to the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff, they have resorted to their favorite mode of total denial.

Even the court journalists from the Kremlin pool have already understood that the offensive operation in the Kharkiv region has failed and has turned into a slaughterhouse for the Russian army.

A journalist from the pro-government pool asked Peskov about the failure of the idea to create a “sanitary zone” in the Kharkiv region and, in general, about the failure of the offensive. The journalist referred to a quote from Putin on May 17, a week after the start of the offensive, stating that a “sanitary zone” would be created in the Kharkiv region.

Instead of traditionally redirecting the question to the military, Peskov began to claim that everything is going according to plan and that the goals of this operation will be achieved.

Perhaps Peskov meant that the “sanitary zone” has already been created in the Belgorod region and that 14 settlements have even been identified there.

But no, Peskov continued to speak nonsense, stating that the settlements were closed because these are “new safety practices” for the population.

Meanwhile, the court journalists forgot to ask, and Putin’s press secretary forgot to mention, that an emergency regime has not been introduced in these settlements, even though this should have been done a long time ago.

In reality, the emergency regime would require evacuating people from the combat zone, providing them with free, adequate housing, not these evacuation points where living is impossible.

But instead, the authorities continue to stubbornly lie, claiming that everything is going according to plan, inventing new phrases like “new practices,” closing settlements to entry, but not extinguishing the fires from the shelling.

And in the Kharkiv direction, judging by information from Russian military channels, there is complete chaos and the disposal of mobilized and contract soldiers.
