Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the territory of North Ossetia has been attacked by ukrainian drones for the first time. The head of the republic, Sergei Menyailo, stated that there were three drones, all of which were shot down. However, the Russian Ministry of Defense acknowledged only one drone. Menyailo also specified that the military airfield in Mozdok was the target of the attack.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that overnight on June 8, Russian forces destroyed 26 ukrainian drones. In annexed Crimea, five drones were shot down and another four were intercepted. Over Krasnodar Krai, six drones were intercepted, according to the ministry. The Ministry of Defense also reported the destruction of two unmanned boats in the Black Sea heading towards the Crimean peninsula.
Vyacheslav Gladkov’s reports also indicated an attack on the Belgorod region.
