“Now the Wagner guys will come,” and they will kill with particular cruelty.

The Cycle of Prisoners in Russia

In Russia, there is a real cycle of heroes from the Special Military Operation (SMO). Criminals who committed heinous crimes were first recruited into Wagner, then they became heroes of the SMO and received medals. Then Putin pardoned them, and they continued doing what they had been doing, only now with the status of “hero.”

And the court is expected to treat these “heroes” with due respect and issue lenient sentences for such sadists.

A pardoned mercenary from the Wagner PMC was sentenced to seven years in prison for killing and burning a mother of many children. Again, a murderer who committed a brutal crime and then tried to cover it up by burning the body receives a very lenient sentence.

In 2016, Alexander Tyumakov was sentenced to 10 years and 10 months for robbery, property destruction, and murder with aggravating circumstances. He had previously been convicted of theft.

A typical repeat offender, obviously prone to violence and cruelty.

In December 2022, Tyumakov was recruited into Wagner PMC and fought in Ukraine. He was awarded three times. It’s unclear if these were state awards or ones given by Wagner.

Tyumakov was lucky, surprisingly, and he survived.

After fighting for six months on the front in Ukraine, the thrice-decorated SMO hero returned to Russia. Then he strangled his acquaintance and burned her body along with her car.

The court gave the recidivist murderer the minimum sentence—seven years. The court took into account his combat experience and contribution to the SMO. This explains the lenient sentence.

Now Alexander Tyumakov has another chance to enlist, this time in the Russian army instead of Wagner PMC, and go back to war. And then he might get another pardon from Putin. And so on indefinitely.

How many such SMO heroes from Wagner PMC are still walking the streets of Russian cities? Each of them poses a threat to ordinary Russian citizens because they feel the favor of the authorities and the leniency of the judges. This is the basis of state policy, and the lenient sentence for the murderer only confirms this.
