Our Permanent Clown at the UN

Vasily Nebenzya - our permanent clown at the UN Security Council.

We have a certain character in Russia named Vasily Nebenzya. He is the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Security Council. He constantly generates outrageous propaganda nonsense that elicits only laughter and sympathy from the listeners, as though he is a completely mentally unstable person.

For Russian consumers of propaganda, his fantastic tales evoke pride for the motherland. For normal people, they induce nausea.

It was Nebenzya who once told stories about ducks, geese, and other migratory animals, including bats, supposedly infected with dangerous viruses. It was also Nebenzya, as a representative of a great power, who talked about mosquitoes, specially bred in biological laboratories to carry dangerous diseases. These mosquitoes, of course, were supposedly trained to bite Russian soldiers who just so happened to be in the Kherson region. Their mission: to infect them with malaria and other viral diseases. How the mosquitoes were supposed to distinguish Russian soldiers, Nebenzya naturally did not explain.

And now, Vasily Nebenzya has staged another show at a UN Security Council meeting. This time, he told a terrifying story about so-called Ukrainian barrier troops that allegedly exist in the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF). Naturally, these troops consist only of people merciless to the enemies of the “Ukroreich”—that is, mentally deranged Ukrainian nationalists.

They are supposedly supposed to stand behind the units fighting at the front and shoot anyone who flees the battlefield. In general, a typical situation from the history of the Red Army.

However, according to the clown Nebenzya, these Ukrainian barrier troops are there to prevent UAF soldiers from surrendering.

It turns out that the creators of this fake have a clear problem with logic. The enemy is in front of the UAF, and the barrier troops are far behind them. How are these barrier troops supposed to prevent surrender if the soldiers wishing to surrender must move in the opposite direction? Certainly not by retreating.

However, Russia’s permanent clown at the UN Security Council is not bothered by such nonsense as the absence of logic. Though he probably understands that none of the attendees at the meeting believe this nonsense. So, he just keeps spouting total drivel.
