Penal battalions for the Special Military Operation

A true hell is unfolding at the State Duma meeting. Former Lieutenant General, militarist, and Chairman of the Movement in Support of the Army, Viktor Sobolev, is calling for the creation of penal companies and penal battalions in the army, to which all violators of discipline and “cowards” will be sent.

Sobolev, a true communist, first quoted Lenin: “Even Vladimir Ilyich Lenin said that those who do not fully support discipline and order in the Red Army are traitors and renegades. And they must be mercilessly exterminated.”

Cannibalism towards one’s own citizens in its purest form. All within the framework of the concept – “we will not stand for the price.”

Next, Sobolev began to talk about the need to use the experience of the Great Patriotic War and create penal companies and penal battalions for those who violate discipline and show cowardice.

Obviously, the two phrases uttered by Deputy Sobolev indicate one thing. This politician from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, stuck in his Stalin-era mentality, has no pity for his own soldiers.

If anyone thinks he is talking only about participants in the Special Military Operation in the context of creating penal battalions, they are mistaken. Conscripts and sergeants who commit some offense can also be sent to penal battalions and then sent into insane attacks on some little-known village somewhere in the steppes of Donbas.

Sobolev tries to make statements in the style of Stalin, but only Stalin’s children fought during the war with Germany. The elder son died in a concentration camp after being captured. But the son of General Viktor Sobolev is not fighting in Ukraine. Until 2018, he was a lieutenant colonel in the internal troops, which were created to guard prisoners and suppress internal unrest and riots. What he is doing now is unknown. But the heroic lieutenant colonel is not at war now.

Apparently, Sobolev hopes that his son will lead the blocking detachments, which will prevent the penal battalions and penal companies from retreating and will shoot anyone who retreats.
