The great geostrategist Putin lied once again when he claimed that no one would rush around in connection with the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ operation in the Kursk region and that no troops would be redeployed to the region from the front.
When the Kursk operation began, it turned out that Russia had no operational, let alone strategic, reserves. Gradually, troops started being redeployed from other parts of Russia and, significantly, from the front.
The first troops redeployed were marines from the Volchansk direction. It should be noted that it was in this area that Putin promised to create a security zone in the Kharkiv region, and the most fanatical propagandists claimed they would reach Kharkiv’s ring road. As a result, the front stalled in Volchansk with no prospects for advancement.
But the most interesting contradiction to Putin’s bold statements, about the enemy being unable to deceive or force him to act according to their plan, is the fact that troops have already started being transferred from Donbas.
Last week, units from the Siversk and Kramatorsk directions began moving. This concerns the 106th Airborne Division. One of its regiments and a reconnaissance battalion are in the process of being redeployed. That is, a major airborne division like the 106th is being broken into pieces to plug gaps on the Kursk front.
The Kramatorsk direction is near Chasiv Yar, where for many months the Russian Armed Forces have been unable to break through the Ukrainian defenses.
It has also come to light that redeployments have begun from the Kurakhove direction. So far, this involves an artillery battalion from the 20th Motorized Rifle Division.
Even earlier, separate units began being transferred from the Zaporizhzhia front.
What’s important is that they are not moving brigades or divisions but only separate units from these formations. All established contacts within the formations are being broken.
So far, they haven’t touched what is considered the main offensive direction—Pokrovsk. But that’s only for now. Units from the Kurakhove direction have already started being pulled apart, and that’s very close to the direction toward Pokrovsk.
In short, the geostrategist is lying.
Putin may have to tell his usual story again about how he was deceived.
