Russian Pensioners: Victims of the Idea of Nuclear Apocalypse

Russian Pensioners Support the Idea of Nuclear War

As it turns out, in Russia, the main advocates for starting a nuclear war are pensioners. This stems from the results of a sociological study conducted in June by the “Levada Center.”

In the 55+ age group, i.e., pensioners, support for initiating a nuclear war stands at 35%. Overall, in Russia, 34% support launching nuclear strikes. Among them, 10% definitely support a nuclear strike, and 24% consider it “more or less” advisable. Moreover, all these people mainly get their information from television.

The main proponent of nuclear war on TV is Vladimir Solovyov. It is he who regularly tells his viewers how Russia will launch nuclear strikes on Ukraine and European countries.

However, he never discusses what will happen next, including to the same pensioners when there is a retaliatory strike. And there will be one, for sure. Surprisingly, “Levada Center” does not ask its respondents what they think about the consequences for Russia if it uses nuclear weapons.

The West has already warned Putin directly several times about the consequences for Russia and Putin personally if Russia starts a nuclear war. These consequences will be catastrophic, even if the strikes are carried out with conventional weapons.

Russia’s air defense system cannot protect its territory even from Ukrainian drones, which calmly fly over distances exceeding 1000 km. What will happen if Tomahawks and other equally modern missiles are launched en masse? Solovyov will probably hide in a bunker, if he is allowed in. But where will these pensioners, who support nuclear strikes, go? Where will they hide? Where will the children and grandchildren of these pensioners, who listen so attentively to Solovyov, hide?

Solovyov’s nuclear ideas have already annoyed even his fellow propagandists. One of these propaganda front warriors, Podolyaka, even stated that Solovyov is working for the enemy.

Two elderly propagandists, former colonels Tymoshenko and Baranets, who now work as experts on the “Komsomolskaya Pravda” radio station, compared Solovyov to “grandmother Fekla, who demands a Sarmat strike on Washington.”
