The main and very talkative speaker on the “Kursk battle” has been appointed: a member of the Kadyrov clan, Apti Alaudinov. Initially, he was simply making excuses for the retreat of the “Akhmat” special forces during the Ukrainian offensive in the Kursk region. But then he got into the groove, and now his statements are being quoted by major propaganda resources funded by the federal budget.
Apti Alaudinov, who is a general of the Main Political Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces, goes on air several times a day, spewing the wildest nonsense, quoting the Quran, and claiming that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have long been blocked in the Kursk region and are being destroyed at full speed.
Clearly, Konashenkov’s pearls of wisdom, may his name be praised, haunt Alaudinov. His statements are now indistinguishable from Konashenkov’s claims about thousands of destroyed tanks, hundreds of downed Ukrainian planes, and intercepted HIMARS.
First, Alaudinov staged an information circus with captured Kadyrovites. The commander of “Akhmat” initially claimed they didn’t exist. Then he asserted that they do exist, but it’s not exactly the same “Akhmat,” but a different one. And therefore, such a capture doesn’t count.
Then he insisted that Sudzha was not captured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and that fighting was still ongoing there. Even after a report on the Ukrainian channel TSN, filmed in the city center, Alaudinov claimed that the Ukrainian forces didn’t fully control the city. In reality, the frontline had already moved several kilometers away from Sudzha. But according to him, “only part of the city is controlled by the Ukrainian forces.”
Alaudinov asserted that the Ukrainian offensive had already been blocked, and he did so five times since the beginning of the offensive. Then, he immediately reported that some units of the Russian army had retreated in certain areas.
Alaudinov does not comment on the mass surrender of Russian soldiers, including over a hundred servicemen from “Akhmat.” Nor does he mention what’s happening on the left flank of the Ukrainian offensive, where a huge encirclement on the left bank of the Seym River is already taking shape. This encirclement will inevitably happen when the Ukrainian forces destroy three bridges across the river, cutting off the grouping in the Glushkovo district from the main forces.
