Sorokin Yevgeny Dmitriyevich

Sorokin Yevgeny Dmitriyevich (born August 7, 1981, in Konakovo, Tver Oblast, Russia) is a Russian occupier, an accomplice in war crimes, currently serving as the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the so-called LNR.

He graduated from the Tver Institute of Economics and Management, the Tver Institute of Economics and Law, and RANEPA. He began his career as a lecturer at Tver State University.

From 2006 to 2010, he worked in the Department for Enterprise Relations of the Tver Oblast Administration. From 2010 to 2012, he was the Deputy Head of the Department for Socio-Economic Development of Rural Areas in Tver Oblast. Until 2019, he was the Director of the State Budgetary Institution of Tver Oblast “Center for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex of Tver Oblast” under the Ministry of Agriculture.

After that, he served as the Director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Complex and Consumer Market of the Government of Yaroslavl Oblast.

In September 2022, he was appointed Minister of Agriculture and Food of the self-proclaimed LNR.

He commits deliberate acts against the national security of Ukraine, peace, the security of humanity, and the international legal order, as well as other offenses.
